Wood Flowers

Hello!  I wanted to take a little time to tell y’all about our wood flowers!  They are made from the Tapioca plant root.  We have a variation of flowers that comes from this plant, some with bark showing and some without.  Our flowers are still delicate as comparable to a real flower, but ours can last forever with proper care!  By proper care I mean keeping the flowers out of direct sunlight, keeping them away from high humidity environments, and keeping them away from small children and pets.  As long you follow these tips, (and don’t run them over in your car) these flowers will be around for a lifetime!  The flowers come to me as their original ivory color.  I dye the flowers to your or my custom design.  The flowers can have a slight variation in color as the flowers can take the dye different.  Dark spots or holes on the petals are natural, usually from bark or knots in the wood.   I have had so much fun with these flowers over the years and just now decided to turn it into a fun business/hobby!  I love sharing my creations with you, and LOVE when I am giving a custom order to make your vision a reality!  If there is something you’ve seen on Pinterest that I don’t have in the shop, shoot me an e-mail.  Just because it’s not listed online doesn’t mean I haven’t made it, or don’t have something similar for sale in the shop.  I am consigned at the SIL in downtown Keosauqua, across from 1st Iowa State Bank, and I have a small shop in Farmington that is open by appointment.   The SIL has soo many great gift items or items for yourself!  Magnolia Mae has massages, facials, etc., and Mindi is amazing with Essential Oils.  Not so Prim and Proper has tons of reclaimed furniture, (I am guilty of purchasing a few pieces.) If you’re in the area don’t hesitate to check out the store!  I will always have a handful of items down there, and if you see something you like, but want a different color shoot me an e-mail and it can be done!
